Is talent enough?
Nowadays around the world we can see the discussion about skills, talent, practice, etc. but the key question is if all that talent people, musician, sport player, singers, authors would be what they are now just believing in their talent? In essence is the talent enough for have that great carrier?
I will argue that you can have the talent but you need more than that to become a great professional. Indeed, in "The Sport Mind" says that there are three main aspects people need to explode the talent that they have. Those are, talent consider as innate abilities, motivation to learn and time to practice. One example of that is football players, all we know about how talent they are, but without the others two aspects they can not improve their talent at that high level, been more specific on that, Messi, considerate one of the most influence player at the moment, he has been practicing football since he was 5 years old, therefore we can see how they explode that innate abilities with the passion and motivation to become in a professional football player and all the time they have spent in the ground practicing.
It have been argue that this characteristic just works with sports things, but you can apply this "formula" with the majority of the people who have success in their carrier. For example the business people, some of them do not have a major on business but they have a great development because they get to know how market works but again with motivation and with a lot of time. Another example, more academic about it, is John Mighton an author, who attributed his success to years of rigorous training and motivation. We can conclude that people have to focus in that specific goal and explode the talent that they have, otherwise it would be a waste of it.
